Traction Development Team at the Chilimotion Enduro Series in Nauders: Success, Determination, and a Bit of Bad Luck

The Chilimotion Enduro Series in Nauders was an exciting and challenging race for the Traction Development Team, filled with highs and some lows. From intense training sessions to spectacular race days, the riders gave their all and held their own in a highly competitive field.

Jannik entered the race with a significant advantage - his familiarity with the demanding and steep terrain in Nauders. His knowledge paid off, especially in the technically challenging sections where he could fully tap into his potential. The first race day went well on the steep stages, but he sadly couldn’t perform to his best on the more pedal-heavy sections, which unfortunately reflected in his times.

On the second race day, however, things took a turn when Jannik lost control in a fast corner and crashed into a dried-up creek bed. Fortunately, the hospital confirmed that he hadn’t suffered any fractures or torn ligaments, just bruising on his wrist and shoulder. Despite the crash, Jannik was satisfied with his performance from the first day and now hopes for a crash-free and consistent race at the next event.

Marius started the race weekend with an intense training day that helped him prepare for the challenges ahead. Unfortunately, on Friday, he encountered a technical issue. But after a quick repair, he continued without any further problems and started the prologue.

The first race day, with its six stages, was a real endurance test. Despite the exhausting, pedal-heavy trails, Marius managed to achieve solid results. Thanks to good preparation, including clever nutrition, GoPro analysis, and plenty of sleep, he went into the second race day feeling strong.

With three long stages ahead of him, Marius once again delivered a strong performance, finishing in 13th place overall.

For Johannes, the goal was clear - to complete a consistent race without major mistakes or technical issues. Training went well, even though the team didn’t get to practice all the stages. On the first race day, Johannes managed to maintain consistent performance, although he struggled a bit on the tricky downhill sections. A minor crash on stage four didn’t shake him, though, and he finished the day with solid times.

On Sunday, the untrained stages were on the agenda. Johannes focused on maintaining his position from the previous day and finishing the race smoothly. He succeeded, securing 11th place and, in addition, winning the overall title in the "Men" class of the Chili Enduro Series 2024.

The younger riders of the team also delivered impressive performances at Reschenpass.

Niclas started strong, securing second place in the prologue, which gave him a good starting position for Saturday. However, on the first stage, he was held up by a media rider, which led to a crash. Despite this setback, Niclas fought through the race, managing to secure 6th place overall. A result he can be proud of despite the challenges.

Nevio had a minor crash in the prologue, placing him in 6th at the start of the race days. But that didn’t stop him from delivering an outstanding performance. He won three out of four stages and took second place in one. His strong performance was ultimately rewarded with the overall win for the day and in his class.

The Traction Development Team showed not only resilience but also incredible skill in Nauders. Each rider faced their own challenges, but together, they demonstrated their true potential. We are proud of their achievements and look forward to the next race!
