Who is Jack?
Racing has played a major role in crafting our view of mountain biking at RAAW. Poring over Dirt Magazine in our early years to absorb all the stories and photos, being there in person to watch ecstatic fans hoist winners in the air, or even just constantly checking race results as a habit. Our first port of call with sponsorship discussions is often Roots and Rain instead of Instagram.
Jack Menzies has been one of the rising stars of enduro racing in recent years. His ascent through goliaths of factory teams and his delivery of astounding results on the world stage were something we watched intently, keen to follow where the big Canadian would go in the sport.

But as industry winds changed, Jack seemed to be on the receiving end of team closures and brands’ retreat out of the enduro racing discipline. Enduro is what founded RAAW with the Madonna, and we’re not about to leave it behind. So when Jack got in touch at the back end of 2025, we jumped at the chance to work with him after following his rise for so many years.
Born in Canmore, Alberta, Jack now resides amongst the trees and trails of the Canadian riding epicentre, Squamish. A town not only brimming with trails that make your face hurt from grinning, it’s also a hot spot for racing talent—and the already high tide is rising further from all the collective training, riding, and racing in the area.

With a background in BMX racing, as well as hardtail spandex hooning far beyond the limits of the bike underneath him, Jack is an absolute animal on a bike. Amongst his deep bag of talent, cornering is one of his biggest skills.
Mountain biking is corners—get round one, and there’s another one lying in wait.

Jack’s speed, but more than that, his commitment through corners of all shapes, sizes, and levels of destruction, is awe-inspiring.
He’s also a grafter, in his personal life outside of bikes as well as in maintaining his professional racing level. While the scope of his racing has changed, his focus on racing hasn’t. Less international racing on the calendar has brought with it a return to the simpler, yet thriving, domestic racing scene for both enduro and downhill. This return to the racing that helped establish his love of going real damn fast against the clock might actually be better for the soul, reconnecting with that simple idea of just riding bikes.

Jack’s insane speed, skills, and style are something we’re keen to showcase through videos that make you want to get out and ride, and photos that you’ll want to stick on your wall, arcing back to our early days and kid-like excitement of following the stars of racing and the sport.
His speed brings with it a feedback loop that helps us advance our bikes far beyond the tubes and hardware that make them up. At speeds where there’s minimal margin for error, setup is a huge part of making a system that’s intuitive and can be ridden on instinct rather than learning what the bike might do. Something that trickles down to every level of rider.

So, who is Jack?
He’s the racer who reminds us why we started looking at race results in the first place. He’s the embodiment of commitment through a ruined corner, a grafter who doesn't need a factory semi-truck to prove he’s one of the fastest on the hill, and a racer who found his way back to the root of it all.
He’s exactly the kind of rider we wanted to see when we turned the pages of those old magazines—and we’re damn proud to be a part of his story.
