Madonna V3 Fox Factory Rolling Chassis - Black

The Madonna V3 is the most capable, adjustable, and durable bike we’ve ever built. It’ll take on the roughest tracks, the longest rides, all the while never shying away from a climb.

While we haven’t lost our focus on durability, we’ve added adjustability to make it even more versatile. The fourth iteration of the Madonna will have your back, no matter what.

With the Rolling Chassis Kit we offer you a high-quality foundation for your individual Madonna build. You'll be ready to go in no time with the included component package yet still have plenty of room to create your own personal bike masterpiece – who wants an off the shelf build anyway?

We provide a 2023 Fox 38 Factory fork with the frame, which you can combine with your preferred Fox or Öhlins shock at the rear.

Included is a OneUp Components V3 Dropper, with the choice of drop starting at 150 mm and going all the way up to 240 mm of travel, to provide the optimal setup for every rider. Their V3 handlebar remote is also included. If you need some help determining the amount of drop for you, click here.

For the cockpit, we rely again on OneUp Components and offer you the stem in two lengths of 42 mm or 50 mm and their carbon handlebar with either 20 mm or 35 mm rise, so you can feel comfortable from the get go. Ergon’s GD1 Evo Factory grips and SM-Enduro saddle round out the touch points. If you're unsure which combination of stem and bar is best for you, click here for more information on the perfect cockpit setup.

The Rolling Chassis is topped off with Newmen’s Evolution SL EG.30 wheels, equipped with a Maxxis Assegai with EXO+ casing up front and a Maxxis Minion DHR II with DD casing out back. This combination is our current go-to in almost all conditions. The wheels can be configured with either a Shimano Micro Spline or SRAM XD freehub.

To get you off to a good start in building your new bike, we've already pressed the headset cups into the frame and mounted the crown race on the fork. The tubeless tape and valves are also installed, you’ll just need to add in some sealant. The rest of the components are ready for you to assemble – this way you can truly experience the build process from the ground up and get to know your new bike and all its technical details. But you’re never on your own, as our support is always there if you need help building and can’t find the answer you’re after in our extensive knowledge base.

If you want to learn more about the shock choice or the two different rocker link options, you can find all details about the Madonna V3 on this page.

The frames are regularly available with the rocker link options shown in the selection on the side. If you prefer a different rocker link, please send us an e-mail to hello@raawmtb.com and we will check the availability of the preferred configuration.

I have owned Mondraker Dune, Mondraker SuperFoxy2021, Pivot Firebird 2022 and now Raaw Madonna V3. I can say that that is the best bike I jabe owned.
The filing when you go downhill is just natural, you do not need to search for position on the bike to be in te center and the bike wants you to be agressive and push, bike loves to go fast.
And cycling uphill is also something that I was supprised, it really pedals great for bike with that travel and alu frame that is not the lightest.

Long story short; bike is SICK!!!

A couple more things

Just a few things regarding my Medium frame to add to the review:

For those (like me) worried that they might have to run a smaller travel dropper post than they prefer: RAAW suggests that the minimum ride height for a Oneup V2 dropper is 718mm which is a bit conservative in my experience.

I have a 210 Oneup V2 dropper and from Mid BB to seat rails is 700mm. The post bottoms out 33mm from fully slammed. This may differ depending on the position of the actuator thingy at the bottom of the post? Seems like Mike Kazimer from Pinkbike had a similar experience to me on his size Large- he mentions it deep in the comments of his first ride review.

I would say listen to RAAW's recommendation to be safe, but there will likely be a bit more room than you expect. Also- if you're close; be sure to look at Oneup's dimension chart for their droppers as the V2 actually has a smaller total length than their V3 in some sizes.

I can just fit a 700ml (24oz) water bottle inside the front triangle.

Enough writing- time to go ride my sick new bike :)

First few rides- Initial impression

Today was my second day of riding my new Madonna V3 and so far I'm beyond stoked with this bike! I'm 177cm tall. Most of my rides are fire road climbs to relatively steep rocky/rooty descents near Nelson BC.

My previous bike was a '21 Stumpy EVO LTD Size S3, Mullet with a Meg Neg'd SuperDeluxe and a 170mm Zeb. I've always loved it; its agile, adjustable and capable. My only complaint was that is it felt slightly under-gunned on the steepest roughest trails at speed.

My Madonna is size Med with a Float X2, 170mm Fox 38 and mullet. I thought I'd be trading some of the Stumpy's agility for stability/composure however somehow I feel like I've got more of both. The amount of extra pop I've gained is insane; completely unexpected. On steep rough sections, the bike feels composed. It carries speed well, and the low BB makes the cornering amazing! I also couldn't believe how quickly I felt comfortable on the bike. It already feels like my bike. It doesn't claim to be a lightweight, but the climbing position is comfy.

Build quality, serviceability and durability seem 10/10 which was a major selling feature to me.

Shipping to Canada took 3weeks from the order date- pretty good IMO. Duty/taxes was about 10% of the total price. I was a minorly high maintenance customer, but Reuben was friendly, always responded quickly and helped put my mind at ease regarding sizing and shock choice.

I'm running out of characters but this bike is sick! I'll update my review after a few months.
