A STYLE OF HIS OWN — Kilian Buhl in Châtel

There’s something about watching Kilian Buhl ride a bike that makes everything look a little too easy.

We headed to Châtel with a simple plan: early mornings, good light and a few days on the Vink Line. Kilian took the Yalla!! V2 for the faster, rougher upper section before switching to the Jibb for the lower part of the trail.

No racing, no stopwatch. Just Kilian doing what he does best — finding his own lines and making a bike move in a way that’s unmistakably his.

A big thanks to Châtel Bike Park for getting us up the mountain before opening each morning and giving us the chance to make the most of those quiet first hours.

Our time in Châtel came to an unexpected end when Kilian crashed between filming sessions and broke his wrist — a moment captured from his perspective in the RAAW Laps video. It brought the project to an early close, but we’re stoked with what came out of those days on the mountain.
